He released his first songs, such as never Cared and The Come Up. After that he debuted on SoundCloud by releasing the mixtape called Official POLO.G Sound Cloud. Gang With Me, his debut single, was followed by the hit song Finer things. In prison, he wrote Finer Things. The single was his debut and he received million of YouTube views. Record labels from major companies started to express interest. Pop Out featuring Lil Tjay was finally released to the public on a day, when Lil Tjay signed an agreement to distribute the song to Columbia Records. The song received millions in viewers on YouTube. In addition, it reached 22nd place on the Billboard Hot 100. Polo G was a YouTube success and earned a decent amount of recognition through other social media websites like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
