Emily Irene VanCamp, who was originally an professional dancer, was fascinated by acting after she visited her sibling Katie on The Ladies Room set. As she took acting classes as well, she also got guest roles on Canadian TV shows. The shows she had starred in among others were Are You Afraid of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp's career took off after he was cast as Sam Dolan, a regular in the series WB Horror Mystery Glory Days.
